Our Story
Meet the Champions of Clean
Welcome to Bar Down Express Car Wash, where a great car wash meets the energy of game day.
Located in Rosemount, MN, Bar Down is a local business created by two brothers to give drivers more than another stop on the to-do list. We wanted to build a modern express car wash where quality, convenience, family, community, and fun all play on the same team.
Our goal is simple. Deliver a clean car you can feel great about while making the experience itself something worth looking forward to.
Born in the State of Hockey
There may be no better place for Bar Down than Minnesota.
Brothers Paul and Luke Anderson built the Bar Down concept around their love of hockey, family, and their community. When it came time for their car wash venture, they wanted to create something distinctive that reflected the values they care about while delivering a quality product customers could rely on.
Hockey Became the Perfect Inspiration
It is fast. It is energetic. It takes teamwork, determination, and commitment. It brings families and communities together. Those same qualities became part of the foundation for Bar Down Express Car Wash.
So, What Does “Bar Down” Mean?
If you know hockey, you probably already know.
“Bar down” describes one of the most satisfying shots in hockey. The puck catches the crossbar and goes down into the net. It is fast, precise, and when you hear that unmistakable sound, you know somebody just scored.
That feeling inspired our name and the experience we want to create.
You will find hockey woven throughout Bar Down, from our branding and building design to our teammates, tunnel experience with a light show, and plenty of details for hockey fans to discover. You do not have to know the difference between icing and offsides to enjoy it. The goal is simply to make your visit more memorable.
Around here, every clean car is another one in the win column.
More Ways We Raise the Bar
Being hockey-themed is part of our personality. Delivering an exceptional car wash is our priority.
We are committed to creating a high-quality express car wash experience for Rosemount drivers. That means combining modern wash technology, premium wash options, convenient amenities, friendly teammates, and an experience designed to keep your day moving.
From hand prep and Graphene protection to free vacuums and convenient member benefits, each part of Bar Down has been thoughtfully planned around one result: helping you drive away in a clean car you are proud of.
Because the best car wash experience should deliver where it matters most. Your vehicle.
Car Washing With a Light Show
Some car washes get you clean. Bar Down turns the trip through the tunnel into part of the experience.
Our immersive tunnel light show brings color, movement, and energy into your wash, creating a fun experience for drivers and families alike. It is one more way we are bringing the excitement of game day into car washing.
Bring the kids. Stay in your vehicle. Enjoy the show while your car gets cleaned.
We want Bar Down to become the kind of car wash in Rosemount that families actually look forward to visiting.
Fast From Puck Drop to Finish
Life moves quickly, and your car wash should keep pace.
Our express wash format is built around convenience. Stay in your vehicle while our wash does the work, then take advantage of complimentary amenities to add the finishing touches.
Season Ticket Members get even more convenience with membership benefits designed to make keeping a clean car part of the routine.
Whether you are fitting in a wash between errands, heading to work, driving the kids to practice, or getting your vehicle cleaned for the weekend, Bar Down makes it easy to keep your ride looking its best.

Our Home Ice Is Rosemount
Bar Down is designed to be more than a business located in Rosemount. We want to be part of the community.
Hockey has always had a special ability to bring people together, and community is equally important to the Bar Down story. We plan to support local organizations, fundraising opportunities, community initiatives, and the hockey culture that makes this area special.
We want our customers to recognize the people behind Bar Down, feel welcome when they arrive, and know they are supporting a local, family-owned business that cares about the community it serves.
Welcome to Bar Down
A clean sheet of ice is part of every great hockey game.
We think your vehicle deserves that same fresh-start feeling.
